ثم أعلنتْ بأسى: "لقد فاتني أن أكون ابنة لأسرة غير ثريّة، فاتني أن أكون سعيدة في الحياة"؛ دارت العيون المستغربة نحوها، واستدارت الأجساد المتفاجئة، يحدوهنّ الفضول للمزيد من صراحتها المدوّية في القاعة، ثم أضافت بزفرة: "آه... يا للخسارة"، فالمال في حياتي عائق وليس دافعاً لشحذ الهمّة، ولا إلى حلمي الذي أنشد، إنّي أحمل هموماً أكبر وأكثر من طاقتي في حياتي المُترفة جداً، وذلك ما يبعدني عن بساطة الحياة وهدوئها وجمالها، كما تتسلّل مني رغباتي الخاصّة وسط حياة مكبّلة بقيود كثيرة".
