وبعد فتشتد حاجة الناس اليوم إلى تأجيل التزاماتهم أو تقسيط الوفاء بديونهم، سواء فى ذلك، الموظف او العامل أو الملاح أو التاجر أو مدير المصنع... إلخ، وفى هذه الدراسة حاولنا أن نقدم أحسن الحلول وأعدلها لمشكلات الالتزامات المؤجلة وذلك من خلال آراء مختلفة ترسم قواعدها العامة وتتناول تفصيلاتها الدقيقة، لنصل فى النهاية إلى حكم الدين والدنيا فيها حتى تلتقى عدالة الارض مع عدالة السماء.
وقد قسمنا الدراسة إلى باب تمهيدى فى مصادر الأجل وفكرة الالتزام، ثم قسم أول - فى ماهيه الأجل وأقسامة، وقسم ثان - فى مدى اقتران الاجل بالالتزام أو مدى حرية طرفى الالتزام فى تأجيله، وقسم ثالث - فى أثر الاجل فى الالتزام، وأتبعنا ذلك بخاتمة أشرنا فيها إلى أهم المبادئ، والحلول التى أسفرت عنها هذه الدراسة، كما أوردنا بها اقتراحاً بمشروع لمواد الاجل وضعناه على هدى النتائج التى انتهى إليها البحث، عسى أن يكون له مرضع عند تعديل القانون المدنى.
