بين يدي القارئ رسالة نفيسة ألَّفها حافظ الروم الفقيه نوح بن مصطفى القونوي الحنفي (ت 1070هــ) عقب حادثة عظيمة حدثت في زمنه انتُهِكَت فيها حرمة البلد الحرام سنة إحدى وأربعين وألف، وذلك ببغي جماعة مارقة على أهل مكة، فاستباحوا حُرمة الحرم الشريف وقتلوا أهلها، والحجاج والعمار، وعلماء الحرم الشريف، والصالحين، والمجاورين بها، وهتكوا أعراض أهل مكة، وسلبوا أموالهم، وفعلوا أفعالاً لا يفعلها مسلم ولا تُقِرُّها شريعة ولا مِلَّة عادلة.
وهي حادثة ليس لها نظير في صدر الإسلام، وعلى إثرها ألَّف الفقيه نوح القونوي هذه الرسالة القيمة: "السَّيْفُ المُجَزَمُ، لقتال من هتك حُرمة الحرم المُحرَّم" لبيان حُرمة بيت الله الحرام، ومكة والقتال فيها؛ ولأهمية هذه الرسالة اعتنى بتحقيقها ودراستها الأستاذ أبي هاشم إبراهيم الأمير، حيث قام بالتعريب بالمؤلف وضبط النص وشرح المفردات الصعبة معتمداً على عدة نسخ للرسالة إلى تحقيقها، وذيّل الرسالة بالفهارس الفنية اللازمة.
