تكشف رواية "حرير" للروائي الإيطالي أليساندرو باريكو، حكاية غرام رائقة لتاجر فرنسي عمل بتجارة ديدان القز خلال ستينيات القرن التاسع عشر. كانت بلدة لافيلديو هي موطن صناعة الحرير في ذلك الوقت، لكن أصيبت ديدان القز بوباء "التفلفل" وانهارت الصناعة. فانطلق هيرفي جونكور برحلة غير شرعية إلى اليابان لتهريب الديدان من هناك. وتدور الدائرة.
ولد باريكو في تورين عام 1958. وحازت رواياته على عدد من الجوائز في بلده، إيطاليا: جائزة بريكس ميديكس اترانجيه وجائزة سيليزيون كامبيلو وجائزة فياريجو وجائزة بلازو ديل بوسكو. من رواياته: قلعة الراهب، البحر المحيط، حرير، مدينة. بالإضافة إلى مؤلفات عن الموسيقى. وصاحب أكثر مبيعات الرواية في إيطاليا.
ويكتب باريكو بشكل حسي شفاف لطيف، كأنك تمضي بسلام على صفحة بيضاء، مدركاً أثر الفراغ الدادائي في نفس القارئ، حيث يقطع الرواية إلى مجزءات صغيرة تتراوح بين صفحة أو أكثر قليلاً. ويميل إلى الإيروتيكي أو الحسي أحياناً، لكن بصورة "البويتيك" أو الشعري ضمن الحكاية.
ستحس في الرواية بنسب منك مع هيرفي جونكور وهو يتوق لإتحاد كامل مع حبيب مفترض. تلك المرأة الغامضة في اليابان، فليست هي النموذج الذي ننشده جميعاً بل الروح الحارسة التي تطوف على خيالنا بين وقت وآخر. كما ستنقلك الرواية إلى صراعات جيل مضى بقرن مضى وقارة أخرى بعيدة لتعيش تجربة مختلفة وحياة غرائبية مع شخصيات الرواية، التي يمكن أن نقول إنها مكتوبة بأنفاس شاعر يسعى إلى تحقيق نفسه من خلال السرد.
