منذ عدة سنوات، كنت أنا وزوجتي "جينا" في أتلانتا في زيارة لأصدقائها من مراكز مكافحة الأمراض والوقاية منها. حصلت "جينا" على درجة الدكتوراه في علم الأوبئة وعملت في مجموعة متنوعة من البرامج الشاقة لتحسين الصحة العامة. وتلك المبادرات تتضمن الجهود المبذولة للقضاء على شلل الأطفال في نيبال، وفيروس نقص المناعة البشرية في مالاوي، والصوديوم في الحمية الخاصة بي.
