يا أخوتي وما أحبائي رضي الله عنكم، أشهدكم عبد ضعيف مسكين فقير إلى الله تعالى، في كل لحظة وطرفة، وهو مؤلف هذا الكتاب ومنشئه، أشهدكم على نفسه، بعد أن أشهد الله تعالى وملائكته، ومن حضره من المؤمنين وسمعه أن يشهد قولاً وعقداً أن الله تعالى إله واحد، لا ثاني في ألوهيته، منزه عن الصاحبة والولد، مالك، لا شريك له، ملك وزير له، صانع لا مدبر له، موجود بذاته من غير إفتقار إلى موجد يوجده، بل كل موجود سواه يفتقر إليه، تعالى في وجود، فالعالم كله موجود به، وهو وحده متصف بالوجود لنفسه، لا إفتتاح لوجوده، ولا نهاية لبقائه.
