قد تكون مصطلحات علم النفس محدودة العدد نسبيا ولكنها وثيقة الصلة بمصطلحات أقدم منها الفسيولوجيا والتشريح والطب والتربية والاجتماع والفلسفة ... إلخ، وهكذا اتسعت المصطلحات التى يستخدمها علماء النفس، ولعل ذلك يرجع إلى ان المعرفة الانسانية فى الماضى كانت موسوعية واطلق عليها حينام من الدهر الفلسفة أم العلوم، ورغم التقدم العلمى والتطور ما يزال الفصل بين أنواع المعرفة اما مفتعلا بسبب وحدة الموضوع ونحن إذ نقدم رصيد المكتبة العربية الذى قدمه باحثون اخرون أثروا هذا المجال بجهودهم، وإن نبني على ما سبق وإن نتقدم خطوة أو خطوات.
ولقد اتبعنا طريقة التبويب اللاتينية وخصصا الجزء الأول للحرف (A) ونشر عام 1988 والجزء الثانى للحرفين (B,C ) ونشر عام 1989 والجزء الثالث للحروف ( D,E,F,G) ونشر عام 1990 والجزء الرابع للحروف (H,I,J,K,L) ونشر عام 1991 والجزء الخامس (M,N,O) ونشر عام 1992 والجزء السادس للحرفين (P,Q) ونشر عام 1993 والجزء السابع للحرفين (R,S ) ونشر عام 1995 وهذا الجزء الثامن والأخير للحروف (T,U,V,X,Y,Z) وقد رقمت الصفحات على هذا الاساس بدأ من اليسار الى اليمين، ويحتوى كل جزء على كشاف بالمصطلحات باللغة العربية مرتبة هجائياً، وامام كل مصطلح رقم الصفحة الىذ يشير الى مكانه فى العجم مما يمكن الباحث من العثور على ضالته من عرف المصطلح باللغة العربية.
