ولقد اختار الباحث الجانب الاول من الدراسة الميدانية - علاقة الحوادث بالصفحة النفسية للذكاء - لأنه جانب لم تطرقه الدراسات من قبل وان كانت هناك بحوث كيرة متضاربة النتائج قد درست العلاقة بين درجة الذكاء ككل وبين الحوادث ، أما الجانب الثاني من الدراسة الميدانية- علاقة الحوادث بالسرعة الادراكية والسرعة الحركية لدى الفرد وعلاقتها بما بينهما من علاقة فلقد اختاره الباحث نظرا لتضارب نتائج الدراستين الوحيدتين اللتين تناولتا هذا الجانب في علاقته بالحوادث.
