وقد ظهرت آثار جهوده في البحوث التي أخذت تصدر من حين إلى آخر بأقلام أكاديمية نزيهة تنشد الحقيقة بكل تجريد ،فصحح كثيرا من التصورات الخاطئة ،وصوب أخطاء فادحة، وأبان عن حقائق تاريخية ناصعة

لقد قامت بعض الاقلام بالكتابة عن فرقة الإباضية دون استقصاء البحث وتعرف الحقيقة بشئ من الخطأ فى فهم البواعث على العمل وفهم الأسباب التى نتجت عنها أحداث تاريخية حملت هذه الفرقة أوزارها وبرئ منها أولئك الذين تسببوا فيها ومن هنا قام المؤلف بنشر هذا الكتاب ليوضح ما وقع من لبس نتج عن آثار هذه الأقلام الخاطئة والوقوف أمام الإعاءات المغرضة والمكان المرسوسة ليتسنى للمسلمين
