يتناول المؤلّف في هذا الكتاب بيّنات صدق التقرير الثاني في شهادة الإسلام: "... وأنّ محمداً - صلى الله عليه وسلّم - رسول الله"، بعد أن ناقش بيّنات وجود الله تعالى ووحدانيّته - التقرير الأوّل لشهادة الإسلام - في كتاب: "لا إله إلا الله... براهين وجود الله ووحدانيته".
ويسعى المؤلّف في فصول الكتاب الذي بين يديك إلى عرض أهمّ براهين النبوّة الخاتمة بتفصيل يرفض الإفتار ويتجانف عن الحشو، محاكماً هذه البراهين إلى صريح العقل، وصحيح النقل التاريخي والكشف العلمي، فلا يغالي في مدح ولا قدح، مع إفساح مجال البيان لأهم شبهات الربويين المنكرين لإمكان النبوّة عقلاً أو ثبوتها واقعاً، ومعارضات دعاة النصرانيّة والمستشرقين.
وفي الكتاب عناية خاصة بتحقيق الكلام في النصرانية وصدقها، بما يجمع القارئ فائدة مقارنة صدق براهين الإيمان كما في أدبيات الدفاعيين النصارى، بما يدّعيه علماء الإسلام لدينهم، وقد سلك المؤلّف لذلك أوضح الطرق، وذلك بإمتحان أدلّة الإسلام في عامة مباحث الكتاب، ثم محاكمة النصرانية إلى نفس الوجه الذي يرى فيه المسلمون الحجّة لدينهم.
الكتاب يبدأ مع القارئ في مناقشة الأمور من مقدماتها الأولى، ولا يُلزمه أن يميل إلى ميراث أو ذوق، وإنّما البرهان المشرق الذي يصمد أمام المعارضات هو الفيصل، وعنده يذعن الصادق في طلب الحقّ.
