في هذا الكتاب تهدينا المؤلفة صفحة جديدة من تاريخ الجيزة وآثارها في الألفية الأولى ق.م؛ حيث عرضت آثار عصر الانتقال الثالث وإسهامات الملك بسوسنس الأول وأمنموبي، وبداية معبد إيزيس سيدة الأهرام ثم اهتمام الملوك الصاويين بهذا المعبد وإضافاتهم له ، ووقفت مع شخصية مهمة من هذا العصر وهو"حاربس" وعائلته وكبار كهنة إيزيس وكنهة الملوك القدماء من أمثال خوفو وخفرع، ومنكاورع، وأفردت لجرافتي مقصورة حاربس وآثاره المنقولة، فصلاً كما أنها لم تغفل جبانات الجيزة والجبانة الشرقية والجبانة الوسطى، والآثار المنقولة التي عثر عليها في هذه المناطق وأفادت كثيراً من أرشيف جورج رايزنرالذي لم ينشر من قبل، كما حاولت لأن تقوم بإعادة بناء ناريخ جبانة الجيزة في الألفية الأولى قبل الميلاد، وخصصت فصلاً للوحة المعروفة باسم لوحة ابنة خوفو، وقامت بمناقشة تاريخها وماقيل حولها ونقدت أقوال هيرودوت والمؤرخين العرب في هذا الصدد.
