كاد الباب يتهاوى تقريباً تحت وطأتهن… وصارت (منار) على بعد خطوتين منى.. كانت الضربة الأولى مؤلمة.. لكنها لم تقتلني.. وأفعمت أنفي رائحة الدماء...
لقد كان منظراً رهيباً يا سيادة الضابط... الوغد فاجأ زوجتي المسكينة وأرداها قتيلة...!! لا يهمني ما سرقه من البيت... كل ما أريده هو رأس ذلك الوغد الذي سلبني زوجتي..!!!
كانت الضربة الثانية أقوى من الأولى.. لكنها أيضاً لم تقتلني... ومن بين الدماء التي أغرقت عيني... رأيت باب الغرفة يتحرك ببطء... وتقدمن جميعاً نحوي بخطوات صلبة متخشبة.. لم أعد أرى سوى وجوه متشققة ونظرات متوعدة في عيون جامدة ميتة.. لم أعد أرى سوى وجه (منار) الذي كنت أهرب منه في حياتها... وأجسده في لوحاتي مراراً بعد موتها... لوحاتي التي دبت فيها الحياة... ونهضت من سباتها... لا تريد سوى الثأر مني..............!
(منار)... آسف لأنني أسأت معاملتك وعددتك بنكاً... آسف لأنني كرهتك.. لقد كنت ملاكاً لا يكرهه إلا شيطان... آسف لأنني قتلتك..... (منار)....
إعذريني…….!!!!
