آخر ما قالته لي "هو العنوان الذي يحمله الكتاب كما قرأته أنت، ولكن اهتمامك بأن تقرأ لنا، يحتم علينا أن نطلعك على أن ما تقوله كل منا للأخرى ليس له آخر، بل وما سنقوله لك في ذلك العمل بلا آخر أيضًا، فابحث فيه عن نفسك، ربما وجدتها بطلة في واحدة من قصصه، وإن لم تجدها، فاصنع لنفسك قصة جديدة بأبطال تود أنت أن تحيا معهم، واعلم أنه لا مستحيل بعد تلك اللحظة التي تقرأ لنا فيها، اعلم أنك قد تجد صداقة عمرك بعد أن تصورت أنت أن العمر برمته قد ضاع، وأنك قد تعثر على الإنسان الصحيح، في وقت زهدت فيه الناس أجمعين، واعلم أنك لملاقي من تحب ما دام الله قد قدر ذلك، حتى وإن فرقت بينكم آلاف الأميال..
