يعد هذا البحث محاولة متواضعة لتشكيل طريقة علمية متكاملة فى الفكر الإسلامى تضم جهود الأئمة الأعلام دون تفريق أو فصل تعسفى، يلتقى عندها ما يمتلكه الأصوليون من ضوابط وقواعد وموازين، وما يمتلكه المفسرون والمحدثون من طرائق وشواهد، وما يمتلكه اللغويون والبلاغيون من مناهج تعمل على إبراز الحقائق دون شوائب، ثم نسلك حبات هذا العقد لفريد فى سمطه لكيلا ينتشر، ونصنفها تصنيفاً جديداً، ونضعها فى سلسلة من حلقات متصلة، بوصفها لبنات متناسقة، وثمرات باسقة يأخذها بعضها بحجز بعض، حتى يتسنى لنا فى النهاية الخروج بنظرية إسلامية متكاملة، وقد يلوح لنا فى هذا المرحلة أن نضمنها علماً جديداً وليكن: علم الأصول التفسيرى أو علم التفسير الأصولى على نمط (علم اللغة التفسيرى - علم ا لأصوات الصرفى - علم الإجتماع اللغوى - علم النفس الأدبى - علم العلاقات). ولكن آثرت أن أضرب صفحاً عن الولع بالمصطلحات، فلا مشاحة فى المصطلح ما لم يتضمن مفسدة - كما قال أسلافنا الأقدمون - وأكتفيت بمجرد المطابقة بين عنوان البحث ومحتواه، وسميته: الإتجاه الأصولى فى علوم القرآن.
وقد حرصت على أن يتمتع البحث بالترتيب المنطفى فى الخطة المرسومة لإنجازه على هذا النحو: المقدمة (أشرت فيها إلى المشكلة التى أثارت قضية المعالجة لهذا البحث)، التمهيد (أقمت فيه الموازنة بين علم أصول الفقه وعلم الفقه من حيث الماهية والمهمة والأداة)، الباب الأول (الأصول الشرعية " القرآن الكريم - السنة المطهرة - الإجماع - القياس")، الباب الثانى (الحكم الشرعى: وهو يشتمل على الحكم التكليفى والحكم الوضعى)، الباب الثالث (قوانين استنباط الحكم الشرعى من الأصل الشرعى)، الباب الرابع (الإجتهاد والتقليد: حيث يشتمل على مبحث الإجتهاد وشروطه، ومبحث مراتب المجتهدين)، وأخيراً الخاتمة.
