يطيب لي اليوم ان أضيف إلى التراث الأندلسي تحقيقا لأحد مؤلفات لسان الدين ابن الخطيب التاريخية الأدبية، وهو كتابه" أوصاف الناس في التواريخ والصلات" الذي أورده - ضمن ما اورد - في مؤلفه الكبير "ريحانة الكتاب ، ونجعة المنتاب" لقد اشتمل الكتاب الذي نحن بصدده على تراجم لشخصيات اندلسية ومغربية ، معظمها ممن عاصروا ابن الخطيب، وعاشوا احداث العصر والقاضي والقائد والعالم ن بل منهم من حاز اكثر من رتبة من هذه الرتب على نمط الشخصية البارزة في العصر الاسلامي الوسيط. وقد بلغ عدد المترجم لهم سبعا وخمسين شخصية بعد المائة .
