أرض البشر إحدى كلاسيكيات الأدب الإنساني، كتبها الطيار الفرنسي أنطوان دي سانت إكزوبري وهي تقع في المنطقة الفاصلة بين الرواية والسيرة الذاتية، فأبطالها زملاؤه في شركة الطيران، وهو حين يحدثنا عنهم فإنما يرتفع بهم إلى حدود المثالية في تجريدها الفلسفي، لكنه يبقى لهم صفاتهم الإنسانية بأخطائها الصغيرة، الرواية تسعى إلى تأصيل النبل الإنساني والحث على الذوق إلى الحرية واستكشاف غوامض الأشياء، لكن يظل الإنسان هو حجر الزاوية في بناء الصرح الكوني، لذا يجب عليه أن يكون حريصاً على الثوابت الأخلاقية ومراعاة الأعراف الموروثة، كما يجب عليه أن يجتهد في السعي في سبيل تحقيق أهدافه بصرف النظر عن النتيجة، فالسعي إلى الهدف أهم من تحقيقه.
