فطنت الأقطاب السياسية في العالم إلي دور الإعلام الفذ في توجيه الرأى العام العالمي إلي خططها ومصالحها وخدمة أهدافها، فصنعت مفردات دولية تبثها وسائل الإعلام الدولية، والدول الفقيرة أسيرة ما تقدمه وسائل الإعلام الاستعمارية، والخطاب العربي المعاصر في حاجة إلي بحث علمي دقيق يحلل مضمون الخطاب من خلال اللغة الموظفة فيه وعلاقة الخطاب بالواقع.
وليس للعرب خطاب واحد بل خطابات، فبعضهم يتحدث خطاباً سلفياً يحمل في طياته أفكار الماضي التليد، ويوظف فيه مضامين تراثية غيبها الحاضر، وهؤلاء يحسبون أنهم محافظون، وبعضهم يتحدث خطاباص علمانياً مغالياً أحياناً، فيصور حياة الغرب العلمانية تصويراً شفافاً مثالياً، وتقف السياسة من وراء هذا الصراع، فلتسلط أحدهما علي الآخر وتعينه ليكفيها الآخر، أو لتشغل به الفئة المثقفة عن النظر في الوضع السياسي الراهن.
وتجتمع هذه الخطابات في إنها موجهة إلي متلق او تقع بين طرفين مرسل ومتلق، وتشترك أيضاً في قنوات التواصل، لكنها تتفاوت في التأثير والإقناع والإنتشار، فالغلبة للخطاب الديني والخطاب السياسي والإعلامي، ويعد خطاب السلطة أكثر أنواع الخطاب السياسي انتشاراً وهيمنة وفاعلية؛ لأنه مدعم بسلطة أصحاب القرار، وعرف بالخطاب السلطي ( او السلطوي)، يبد أنه لا يبلغ درجة تأثير الخطاب الديني في الجماهير علي ما يفهمه عليه بعض رجاله من تضيق أو تقطيع أو تكثيف.
وهذا الكتاب واحد من زمر الكتب التي كتبت في هذا الموضوع، ويعد مساهمة متواضعة مني في الإنتاج الضخم الذي صنعه رجال أحسبهم أكفاء وعلي خير.
