يكشف هذا الكتاب عن جوانب تُكشف لأول مرة في العلاقات العربية – الألبانية بشكل عام والعلاقات الألبانية – المصرية بشكل خاص وذلك مع قدوم الملك الألباني أحمد زوغو في آذار / مارس 1946 إلى مصر التي بقيت تعترف به ملكاً شرعياً بعد قيام النظام الشيوعي الجديد في ألبانيا بإلغاء الملكية في مطلع 1946، وبذلك أصبحت مصر خلال 1946-1952 مقراً للبلاط الملكي الألباني والحراك السياسي الألباني لاستعادة ألبانيا الديمقراطية في ظروف الحرب الباردة الجديدة. ونظراً لأن قدوم الملك زوغو إلى مصر ترافق مع التوتر بين العرب واليهود في فلسطين وحرب 1948 فقد يكون أهم ما في الكتاب الأحاديث والنقاشات التي كانت تدور بين الملك زوغو والملوك والرؤساء العرب وتنبؤاته التي صحّت مع مرور الوقت. وأخيراً يكشف الكتاب عن المعاناة الخاصة للملك زوغو خلال 1951-1955 سواء بسبب عدم رضاه عن تصرّف الملك فاروق إزاء الأوضاع المستجدة أو بسبب الأوضاع التي نشأت في مصر بعد ثورة 1952 وإلغاء الملكية في 1953 وإقفال السفارة الملكية الألبانية في 1953 واضطراره إلى مغادرة مصر التي أحبها في ظروف صعبة ...
