إن أعظم ما كتب فى هذا الموضوع (مخالفة أهل الملل والنحل) كتاب شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية (مخالفة أصحاب الجحيم) وكأنى به وقد أحس خطر التتار على الأمة الإسلامية لأنهم غلبوا المسلمين فى كثير من البقاع وهابهم القاصى والدانى, والمغلوب دائما يقلد غالبه, فأخذ المسلمون يقلدون من غير وعي هذه الأمة, ولذا, تكلم شيخ الإسلام عن (الياثق) الذى هو كتاب عن القوانين اخترعه لهم ملكهم جنكيز خان, وقد خاف شيخ الإسلام على المسلمين أن ينظروا إلى هذا الياثق بعين الاعتبار ويتركوا شرع ربهم وهدي نبيهم فانبرى مؤلفا هذا الكتاب الجليل, وها أنا ذا أنهج نهجه وأسير على دربه أتلمس نور خطاه, فى تأليف كتاب يعظم شريعة الإسلام فى قلوب معتنقيه ومحذرا من سلوك سبيل المغضوب عليهم والضالين, سيما وقد انفتح العالم الإسلامى على العالم الخارجي نتيجة تطور وسائل المواصلات والاتصالات وأجهزة الإعلام التى مكنت الناس من الاطلاع على معتقدات الشعوب المختلفة وأخلاقياتها وتقاليدها وسلوكها بما فيها من تناقض وتصارع أحيانا. إن هذا الكتاب محاكاة لكتاب شيخ الإسلام.
ولقد رأيته صعب المنهج, وعر الأسلوب, حاد العبارة كعادة شيخ الإسلام فى كتاباته حيث اللغة والأصول والاختلافات الفقهية بغير معزل عن كتبه وهذ ما لا يطيقه غير المتخصص.
فأردت أن أسهل العبارة, وأبسط الأسلوب, وأجمع المتفرق حتى يخرج الكتاب سهل التناول لكل أحد, فوضعت فيه كثيرا من الأوف التى منيت بها الأمة, كما لم أذهل عن وصف الضماد التى تخفف جراحها.
وقبل عرض ما تيسر جمعه من المخالفات التى يجب علينا أن نتجنبها, حتى لانتشبه بأصحاب الجحيم-مع العلم أنها شر فى ذاتها- لابد من عرض بعض القضايا التى تمت بصلة قريبة إلى موضوعنا هذا, وهى تبدأ بموضوع (بداية التغريب), وقد قسمت هذه المخالفات إلى مخالفات فى العقيدة, وفى العبادة وفى الأخلاق وفى العادات.
