كتاب من كتابين صدرا حديثا للمؤلف جان توما يوضح المؤلف جان توما، وفي حوار معه، قال: “أن هذين الكتابين يتناولان مرحلة من تاريخ مدينة الميناء الساحلية في طرابلس. طرابلس التاريخية تحديداً، التي بناها فينيقيو صيدا وصور، وأرادوها مقرا ًلاجتماعاتهم”. وأشار الى أن الكتابين يلحظان تفاصيل تاريخية عما “قد شهدته طرابلس البحرية من مفاصل أساسية إلى أن حررها قلاوون من الفرنجة عام 1289ميلادياً، واستطاع أن يطردهم وأن يدمّرها تحسبًا لعودتهم عبر البحر، وانطلق يبني طرابلس النهرية الحالية قرب قلعة طرابلس”.
