صحيح أنّ الإستعمار الصريح قد ولّى وانقضى، لكن حلّ محله الإستعمار الجديد من خلال أحزاب وقوى سياسية تابعة للغرب تؤدّي المهام والأدوار السابقة نفسها، او من خلال التدخل العسكري المباشر بذريعة مكافحة الإرهاب أو أسلحة الدمار الشامل، أو الدفاع عن حقوق الإنسان، أو من خلال تطويق الدول المشاكسة للغرب مالياً وسياسياً وإعلامياً وثقافياً لإخضاعها وإرجاعها إلى منظومة الغرب، هذه هي سبل وأدوات الإستعمار الجديد التي لا بد من التعرّف عليها حيث تطوّرت بتطوّر الزمان وتقدّم الخطط والبرامج.
ولزوم التعرف هذا لا ينعي نسيان الماضي وعدم الحاجة إلى الوقوف عليه إذ إن الإستعمار الحديث هو إستمرار للقديم ولكن بقالب جديد، وعليه يلم إستحضار ذلك القديم وإحيائه في ضمير الأمة والمجتمع من خلال دراسات وبحوث وندوات ومؤتمرات، وهذه المهمة الإنسانية كما تقع على عاتق الشرقيّ المُستعمر تقع على عاتق الغربيّ المنصف أيضاً.
