إن كثيراً من المشاكل الداخلية والخارجية التي تعيشها أمتنا الإسلامية يمكن الخروح منها باعتماد الحوار، واعتباره ركيزة إسلامية أصيلة أكدت عليها نصوص الكتاب والسنة، حيث أثبتت تجارب الأمم والشعوب أن تقدم الامم وازدهارها الحضاري يكمن في قوة إيمان هذه الأمم بمنطق الحوار، ومدى تهيئة السبل لانطلاقه في جميع مرافق الحياة.
وتأتي أهمية الكتابة في هذا الموضوع في إبرازه الحوار كقيمة حضارية، ومنهج قرآني، تبناه الرسول (صلى الله عليه وسلم) في عهده، والخلفاء من بعده، حيث إن الله سبحانه وتعالى لم يكره أحداً على الإيمان به، وإنما دعا اليه.
ومن هنا جاءت هذه المساهمة لتقرر منهج الإسلام في الحوار، والتعامل مع الخصوم بمنتهى الموضوعية والصدق، حيث إن الله سبحانه وتعالى قد تحاور مع الملائكة، ومع آدم حين عصى، ومع الشيطان حين بغى واستكبر، ومع الكفار والملاحدة قبل أن ينزل عليهم العذاب، وكذلك كان الحوار هة منهج النبي (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ورسالته مع الآخرين، واستطاع المسلمون بهذا أن يؤسسوا لمنهجية علمية خالصة، قامت عليها الحضارة الإسلامية.
وقسمت الدراسة الى أربعة فصول رئيسية إضافة الى المقدمة، والتمهيد، والخاتمة وقائمة المصادر والمراجع، على النحو الآتي: الفصل الأول: مدخل الى الحوار، الفصل الثاني: منهجية الحوار في القرآن الكريم، الفصل الثالث: أصول الحوار المنهجي في الإسلام، الفصل الرابع: قيمة الحوار في واقعنا الإسلامي المعاصر.
