إن الوسائط الإلكترونية- بما فيها شبكة الإنترنت- ساعدت كثيراً علي اقتراف جريمة غسل الأموال، ففي الوقت الحالي هناك ما يسمي ببنوك الإنترنت- أو البنوك الافتراضية- وهناك البطاقات الممغنطة بأنواعها المختلفة، سواء كانت للسحب أو الائتمان أو الشيكات، فإنه يمكن استخدامها في أنشطة غسل الأموال، وهناك الشيك الإلكتروني، ومن خلال كل هذه الوسائط يمكن التعامل لدى البورصات وأسواق المال العالمية- بوسائل إلكترونية- ومن ثم اقتراف جريمة غسل الأموال.
وأيضاً تتم التحويلات النقدية في الوقت الحالي من خلال- الهاتف المحمول- سواء في داخل الدولة أو إلي خارج الدولة، وهي خدمة تقدمها شركات المحمول بترخيص من السلطة الوطنية المشرفة علي قطاع الاتصالات، وهو ما حذر منه بعض الخبراء، من أن هذه وسيلة سهلة ومأمونة للجناة في جرائم غسل الأموال.
