اختلفت ألسنة العلماء واشتجرت أدلتهم، فيما نقلوه عنه بصدد التمييز بينهما، وبعد أن تحراها الباحث بحثاً وأوسعها تنخيلاً، تبين له أن سبب إختلافهم ينحصر في الجملة بأن أكثرهم حملوا كلامه على غير محمله؛ لأنهم نظروا فيه نظرات عجلى لم تكشف عن مرماه، أو رددوا ما قاله غيرهم من غير أن يعرفوا مأتاه.
لذلك، التمس الباحث جاهه، وبذل قصارى جهده؛ ليختار منها بأدلة بينة، وفي إلمامة موجزة، أكثرها رجحانا - بحسب تقديره - بل ويقضي على أخطاء شائعة، يتهافت فيها النبيه وغيره، حرصاً منه عليهما إستقراراً وذيوعاً؛ إذ هما ليسا علماً أثرياً لا يعنينا في الحاضر، وفي غير مخيلة ولا دعوى يمكن القول: إن الله وله الفضل كله علانيته وسره، ندب هذا الباحث وألهمه، ومَنَّ عليه وأكرمه، كي يقدم هذا العلم المدين لهذا الإمام، كما جاء عنه، بلسان من لسانه.
