سرعان ما تطورت الشبكات التي تعود جذورها إلى الإخوان المسلمين والحركات الإسلامية الأخرى في أوروبا وأمريكا الشمالية إلى تنظيمات متعددة المهام وفيرة التمويل تتنافس لتصبح الممثل الرئيس للجاليات الإسلامية في الغرب والمحاور الأساسي بإسم تلك الجاليات أمام الحكومات.
وفيما يرى بعض المحللين وصناع القرار السياسي أن هذه التنظيمات قوى إيجابية من شأنها التشجيع على الإندماج فإن بعض الآخر يخلع عليهم الوصف بأنهم بمثابة حصان طروادة المعاصر حيث يتخفون تحت عباءة العصرانية، بينما يعملون بلا هوادة على غرس الراديكالية في أوساط المسلمين في الغرب.

يعد ذلك يعكس لورينزو المنظور بفحص الإستجابة لتلك المجموعات من قبل الحكومات الغربية وتحديداً حكومات بريطانيا العظمى وألمانيا والولايات المتحدة، إن البحث الذي أجراه فيدينو زاخر بالمعلومات الوافية فضلاً عن صياغته المتقنة وهو يلقي الضوء على مفصل بالغ الأهمية في العلاقات بين المسلمين والغرب.
"الإخوان المسلمون الجدد في الغرب" يلقي أضواء كاشفة على ظاهرة لم تجد حظها من الفهم الكافي ويجب الإرشادة بالسيد "فيدينو" على تقديم نبذة عامة شاملة ووافية من الوارد تماماً أن تصبح بمثابة النص القياسي في هذا الخصوص.
