"حصل لي أن دفعت إلى" رفيق الصياد" المجلة المتواضعة التي تصدرها جمعية صيّادي اليابان، قصيدة بعنوان "بندقية الصياد". قد يبعث الأمر على الاعتقاد بأني أولي الصيد هذا القدر أو ذاك من الاهتمام، لكيّ في الحقيقة تربيت في كنف أم تكره العنف بكل أشكاله، ويداي ما أمسكتا قط ولد "بارودة ضغط". أما التفسير الفعلي فمن أبسط ما يكون، ذلك أن الفتى، مدير "رفيق الصياد"، كان زميل الدراسة في المرحلة الثانوية، ولنزوة منه، على ما افترض، أو لكي يعبر بلطف عن أسفه للطريقة التي فترت فيها صداقتنا، كان قد طلب مني أن أبعث إليه بقصيدة، ومع أنني أتقدم في السن، فلا يسعني عدم الاكتراث بالمجالات المتخصصة، وتراني ما برحت أخربش بعض القصائد وفاقاً لما تمليه علي القريحة".
بندقية صيد، أو الأوجه العدة لوله مستحيل. ثلاث رسائل من نساء ثلاث إلى رجل واحد تجمعهم قصة فريدة سكبت في قالب مأساوي. هي قصة حب تبدأ بخطيئة. إحدى أجمل قصص الحب في الأدب المعاصر، التي توخى لها ياسوشي إينوي جمالاً في اللغة واتساقاً في التعبير لتكون مثالاً أبدياً عن الحب القاتل.
