كنت دائم الحديث عن الفيزياء.. الفلك.. الجسيمات، وخاصة الانفجار الأعظم، وكلما زادت لديّ معلومة أريد أن أشاركها مع من استطعت، حتى وإن لم يكن من محبي الفلك أو المهتمين به. كنت أشعر بأن هناك من يستاء من حديثي المتكرر عن الفلك أو الفيزياء، حتى أن جاءت لي فكرة تأليف كتاب أتحدث فيه عن البيج بانغ ليقرأه من يحب، وأن أوظف طاقتي هذه في شيء يستفيد منه الجميع وخاصة الهواة من محبي الفيزياء والفلك، شيء بعيد عن المعلومة البسيطة التي تتعامل معك كأنك سازج، وفي نفس الوقت مع أنه يعتبر كتاب أكاديمي إلا أنك تستطيع من خلاله أن تصل إليك المعلومة بشرح مبسط لكي تفهمها. حاولت الابتعاد عن الرياضيات الصعبة أو الحشو الرياضي، وحاولت أن أقدم لك ما يغنيك عن أن تصبح متلقيًّا فقط؛ أريدك أن تفكر معي ربما في يوم ما تغيّر العالم، ربما كنت في استنتاجي مخطئًا، ربما العالِم الذي وضع هذا القانون مخطئ، فالحقيقة العلمية تبقى حقيقة حتى أن يثبت عدم صحتها. ربما أنت تثبت هذا في يوم من الأيام. أحيانًا نعتقد أننا أذكياء ولكن عندما نفكر حقًّا نعلم أننا كنا على خطأ، فلا يمكن لفكر أو لعلم أو مجتمع أن يتقدم دون السؤال والمجادلة والشغف والفضول دائمًا، فضولنا ما يدفعنا لمحاولة الوصول إلى الحقيقة. يجب أن تفكر كيف.. لماذا.. أين.. متى، لا تكن متلقيًّا مثلك مثل الآلة، لا داعي لأن تؤمن بفكرة فقط لأن غيرك يصدقها، فلا توجد حقيقة مطلقة في هذا الكون وكل شيء قابل للشك، حارب من أجل فكرتك لكي تكتمل الحياة، ماذا سوف تفعل وأنت تستيقظ لتعمل ثم تعود للنوم بلا فكرة؟ في النهاية سوف تموت ولكن الأفكار باقية.
