"في انتظار البرابرة" هو عبارة عن مجموعة من الدراسات والوثائق التي تم عرضها خلال مؤتمر دام يومين نظمته منشورات متيس ودائرة علم الاجتماع في جامعة بوغازي في إسطنبول خلال شهر أيار 2007.
جرى تنظيم كل هذا إحياء لذكرى إدوارد سعيد كما للتواصل مع المعرفة الواسعة والغنية والمنوعة والدراسات الحاسمة التي قام بها، والعودة إليها."
