أردت أن أدرس موضوع السحر وما يتعلق به, وله به صلة, دراسة موضوعية لنقف على ماهيته, وأنواعه الحقيقية, وكيفية الحد من انتشاره, وعلاجه إن وقع بطريقة شرعية, وما دفعني لذلك أمور: الأول: لما نظرت إلى الواقع الحالي لموقعتف بعض المعاصرين من قضية السحر, وجدتهم لا يجتمعون على كلمة سواء فقد ذهبوا مذاهب شتى: فمنهم من استأثر برأيه وتعصب له ودعا إليه, ومنهم من أنكر السحر مطلقا, ثم من نسب إلى السحر مالا يقدر عليه إلا الله, ومنهم من وقف متشككا حيرانا لا يستقر له قرار.
الثاني: احجام بعض أهل العلم الثقات عن البحث في هذا الموضوع رغم أهميتة, ولقد حاولت جهدي أن أقف على الحق المبين فى جل ما اختلف فيه السابقون والمعاصرون, ليكون ما سطرت فى هذا الكتاب نصرة للمنصفين, وشوكة فى حلوق المارقين, فاللهم أصلح نيتي وصف سريرتي وسدد رميتي واستر عيبتي واغفر لي زلتي.
ولقد سلكت في هذا الكتاب مسلكا وعرا حاولت فيه أن ألتزم الوسطية دون انحياز إلى مشايخي أو قدح في المخالفين, وألزمت نفسي الحياد قدر الطاقة. ولقد تبين بعد طول نظر أنه لكي نحد من انتشار السحر لابد من مسلكين: الأول: الوقاية من السحر وقطع أسبابه وهذا أهمهما: لأن الوقاية خير من العلاج, ولقد صنف في هذا المضمار كتب تغني المحتاج في هذا الباب ككتب الأذكار, والوقاية من الجن فمن اتقى الجن فقد اتقى السحر, لأن السحر لايقع إلا بواسطته.
الثاني: العلاج من السحر إذا وقع: وقد اجتهد في هذا المسلك قديما وحديثا, ولكن على اختلاف في وجعات النظر, وكان مبناه على الاختلاف بين أهل العلم في ماهية السحر وحقيقته.
فلقد أثبت بالأدلة القطعية, النقلية والعقلية, أن السحر مرض حقيقي مثل كل الأمراض الجسدية التي قد تصيب الإنسان, يلزمه أن يبحث له عن دواء يوافق الشرع, كما يتوافق مع طرق التداوي الصحيحة, والمعترف بها من قبل أهل الطب, لذا عاهدت الله ألا أسطر فى هذا الكتاب إلا كل جديد لم يسبق إليه أحد في كيفية التخلص من السحر إن وقع, وإن أعوزتني الحاجة إلى ذكر شئ فلإضافة جديد إليه حتى تكتمل الفائدة, أو لتصحيح خطأ قد شاع حتى عوامل معاملة الصواب.
