للمبدعين من أبناء أمتنا شأن عظيم ودور كبير يضاف إلى المجهود الحضاري الكبير الذي بذله علماء الأمة في عصور التقدم والازدهار حيث قدموا للبشرية نماذج راقية ووهبوا للعالم عصارة فكرهم ولعل حسن كامل الصباح هو أحد هؤلاء الذين لا يذكر العباقرة إلا يذكرون ولقد تشرب حسن الصباح حب العلم منذ صباه حيث أبصر النور في عام 1895، وتربى في جو اسري مستنير كان له بالإضافة إلى الذكاء الفطري الذي تمتع به أثر على شخصية وحبه للعلم.
ولقد كان الصباح مخترعاً كبيراً ورياضياً ملماً بنظريات عصره مبدعاً في عقله التحليلي، وقد كان من الرياضيين العرب القلائل الذين استوعبوا نظرية النسبية، كما تجرأ على مناقشة آراء اينشتاين الرياضية وانتقادها، كما أنه تمكن من اكتشاف طرق الانقسام والدمج النووي المستعملين في القنابل النووية والهيدروجينية والنيوترونية وقد قام الصباح أيضاً بتصميم وضع طائرة تحلق في الطباق (تلك الطبقة من الغلاف الجوي التي تبلغ سماكتها حوالي 30 كلم وتبدأ من ارتفاع "كلم عن سطح الأرض"، وعموماً فإنه قد أنجز اختراعات عظيمة في الفيزياء وخصوصاً في حقلي التيار الكهربائي والإلكتروني كما ابتكر وسائل لتحويل الأشعة الشمسية إلى طاقة كهربائية.
