يتألف كتاب الري بالرش والتنقيط من خمسة وعشرين فصلا موزعة على أربعة أجزاء رئيسة بالإضافة إلى الجزء الخامس الذي هو عبارة عن ملاحق الكتاب. ويحتوي الجزء الأول على ثلاثة فصول تمثل مقدمة أساسية للكتاب، وأما الجزء الثاني والجزء الثالث فيستحوذان على أكبر عدد من الفصول البالغ عددها 21 فصلا، منها 13 فصلا تتبع للجزء الثاني من الكتاب، وهو بعنوان الري بالرش. وأما الجزء الثالث فهو بعنوان الري بالتنقيط ويحتوي على ثمانية فصول. ويتكون الجزء الرابع من الكتاب فصل واحد هو الفصل الخامس والعشرون وعنوانه اختيار النظام. والجزء الخامس والأخير لا تكون من فصول، ويحتوي فقط على ثلاثة ملاحق تشمل مراجع إضافية ترشد القارئ وتسهل عليه معرفة أهم المراجع ذات العلاقة بمحتويات الكتاب، وكذلك ملحق المصطلحات.
