"غرابة روج لها حينذاك في صحيفته، لكنه لم يغب كثيراً عن المشهد. حتى جاءه رئيس التحرير في ذلك الثلاثاء وستار الليل يلفه، وهو مهشم، بالكاد عرفه بعد أن طير منظره النعاس الملاصق لجفنيه، لهاثه، التورم تحت جفنيه المصاحب لزرقة داكنة؛ منظره كشبح ميت هارب من طقوس الدفن يكفي لإثارة الرعب في نفسه، كانت كلماته الأخيرة: اللعنة عليك وعلى منال لقد مستني الشياطين. وسقط صريعاً. الكثير من الفزع كان يدور في دوامته وأسئلة المحققين تعصف به، لم تكن إيماءته كافية، ليسمعها المحققون بجنونهم، كانت حياته آنذاك قاتمة... طرده من كل صحيفة لا يبشر بالخير، قسماته لا تفرقه عن المتشردين الذين يحومون الشوارع كالبعوض. – لِمَ لا تمسهم تلك اللعنة؟. - ولِمَ مات رئيس التحرير؟. - ولِمَ كانت اللعنة وممن؟، أسئلة عصفت بحياته طيلة أيام طويلة وبالكاد تعافى منها وطواها في سجلات قد رماها في النيل، وربما تكون هي من أدت إلى استحالة لونه للحليبي".
"جاردينيا" رواية يقول عنها الروائي و الشاعر الأردني أيمن العتوم الذي قد قام بتقديميها: "إنّها تُعرّي في قصصها تُجّار الحروب، وبائعي الإنسانيّة، وقاتلي الإنسان، والدّجّالون الّذين يلبسون ألفَ قِناع ليخفوا وجوههم الكالِحة، وإذا أردتَ أنْ تُدركَ ذلك بطريقةٍ أخّاذةٍ فما عليكَ إلاّ أنْ تقرأ: (أنتَ مجرّد وهم). إنّها أمانة، أمانة الحرف حينَ يكون رسالةً وفكرة، قبل أنْ يكونَ ترفًا ومُتعة، إنّها الشّعلة الّتي يحترقُ قلبُ كاتبها من ألاّ تغرق دروب البشريّة في العتمة وتهوي في الظّلمات. وإنّه النّضال من أجل الحقّ والفضيلة حتّى ولو أكلَ ذلك من شبابنا وأعمارنا:.
