يقدم تاريخاً مصحوباً بالصور عن عناية الملك سعود بن عبد العزيز - رحمه الله - بالكعبة المشرفة.
وقد قُسِّم الكتاب إلى قسمين: تضمن القسم الأول حديثاً عن عمارة الكعبة المشرفة وترميمها في عهد الملك سعود في العام 1377هـ/ 1958م حيث شهدت الكعبة أوسع عملية ترميم في تاريخها العامر.
ويتناول القسم الثاني من الكتاب الكسوة الخاصة بالكعبة المشرفة، حيث أمر الملك سعود - رحمه الله - عام 1381هـ/ 1961م بإنشاء مصنع خاص في مكة المكرمة لصناعة الكسوة حرصاً منه على أن تزدان الكعبة بكسوة تليق بها، وقد أُرفقت بالكتاب صور توضيحية لترميم الكعبة وكسوتها.
