ارتأيت الآن- وأنا بصدد نشر الرسالة- أن أفضل بين قسميها جاعلاً كل قسم منهما في كتاب مستقل؛ الكتاب الأول وسمته ب (ركن الدين الحسن الأستراباذي وجهوده النحوية والتصريفية). والكتاب الثاني جعلته خاصاً بتحقيق كتابه: "شرح شافية ابن الحاجب" ودراسته.
وها هو الكتاب الثاني، وقد جعلته في قسمين؛ القسم الأول خاص بالدراسة وفيه فصلان يسبقهما تمهيد؛ تحدثت في التمهيد عن عصره وحياته العلمية. وفيه ألقيت الضوء على الحالة السياسية والعلمية والإجتماعية والإقتصادية والدينية في عصره. وجعلت الفصل الأول خاصاً بعالمنا ركن الدين، وجعلته في مبحثين: الأول (نشأته وحياته)؛ وفيه سقت ترجمة ضافية له تناولت فيها اسمه ولقبه وكنيته ومولده، ونشأته، وحياته، وموطنه، وتنقلاته، ومكانته العلمية والثقافية، ومذهبه الفقهي، وشيوخه وتلاميذه، ثم انتقلت إلى المبحث الثاني فتحدثت عن آثاره وبينت الموجود منها، وأشرت إلى المفقود، وأفردت حديثاً لآثاره النحوية والصرفية التي وصلت إلينا.
وجعلت الفصل الثاني للكتاب المحقق، فجاء في مبحثين: أولهما لدراسة الكتاب، والثاني لتوثيقه والحديث عن مخطوطاته وبيان منهجي في تحقيقه، وأما القسم الثاني فهو خاص بتحقيق الكتابن وختمنا الكتاب بمجموعة الفهارس الفنية اللازمة لتحقيق الكتاب.
