ماتَ أبي مَغْمُوماً لِأَجْليِ
بعدَ أن رآني في أحلامه مَجُوسياً مهيضاً
يَخُّبُ يوماً في الدِمَقْسِ
وأياماً في الأوحَال
رآني بقلبِ رصاصةٍ في الأحراش
وبقلبِ زُنبقةٍ في الأراضي
لم يترك خلفَه إرثاً ولا سلطاناً
تركَ حقائبَ من رسائل
لَمْ تصل أهلها
وجوعاً يسكنُ بين الفكَّين
كانَ موتُه حاراً ولاذعاً
يُذَكِّرُنيِ دائما بانقباضِ الأحشاء
أما السيدُ الوحيدُ الذي سَارَ في جِنَازَته
فقد اشتراني مِنْ أمي
لأكتبَ له برقياتِ التعازي وأُحَمِّمَ الكلاب
كنتُ أزيلُ كلَّ يومٍ
مكيالين من الطينِ عن أقدامي
وأنامُ تحتَ ذيلِ حصان
