من المعروف أن كتاب "صبح الأعشى في صناعة الأنشا" للقلقشندي يضم أكبر مجموعة من العهود الخاصة بسلاطين المماليك، الصادرة عن ديوان الأنشاء. ولما كان القلقشندي في كتابه "صبح الأعشى" قد توقف عند حد سنة (815هـ/ 1412م)- فإن أخر عهد أورده هو ذلك العهد الذي كتب به محمد بن البارزي الحموي، صاحب دواوين الأنشا بالديار المصرية وسائر الممالك الإسلامية، عهد السلطان الملك المؤيد أبي النصر شيخ، عن الخليفة المستعين بالله أبي الفضل العباس في شعبان من السفة المذكورة تحتم أن، يصادف المشتغل بدراسة تاريخ المماليك صعوبة كبيرة في العثور على وثائق العهود الخاصة بسلاطين المماليك، بقية القرن التاسع وأوائل القرن العاشر للهجرة، حتى سقوط هذه الدولة في سنة (923هـ/ 1517م)، ومن هنا تبرز أهمية وثيقة عهد السلطان الملك المؤيد أحمد بن أينال، الذي كتب به وقرأه بين يدي هذا السلطان، القاضي محب الدين بن الشحنة الحنفي، ناظر ديوان الأنشا بالديار المصرية، عن الخليفة المستنجد بالله يوسف بن محمد، في جمادي الأولى من سنة (865هـ/ 1460م)، والتي ننشرها ونقدمها للباحثين.
