لا أميل إلى كتابة مقدمات النتاجات الإبداعية ولا قراءتها، فأنا لا أبالى لمثل هذه الأمور ولا أضع أهدافاً أمام القارئ بل أتركه حراً فى التفكير، مبدعاً فى القراءة، متفاعلاً معها ومع سخرية هذه المحاكاة من خلال اللعب بالكلمات وما بين السطور. ولكنى مع ذلك أشعر بضرورة توضيح بعض الجوانب الفنية بالذات لكتاب الفطحل.
هذه النصوص هجين من المحاكاة والسرد فهى ليست قصصاً ولا رواية تقليدية فلا يوجد هنا التزام حرفى بالأبعاد الثلاثة، بل حكايات اجتماعية ساخرة.
تقترب هذه المحاكاة "بارودى Parody" من بعض أنواع الكتابات الاجتماعية الانتقادية الفاضحة والصحفية الساخرة مثل "فليتون" مع شئ من الاختلاف. إنها بلا شك عمل سردى طويل بمواصفات غير تقليدية.
وأنا عموماً لا يهمنى التصنيف الأكاديمى لهذا الكتاب محاكاة أم رواية أم مجموعة قصص بقدر ما يشغلنى رأى القارئ.
صورت المجتمع العراقى وظواهره الاجتماعى السلبية من خلال أبطال القصص وشخصية الفطحل السطحية المسالمة والآخرين الذين لا هم لهم غير تهميشه والسخرية منه. هذا هو موضوع هذه القصة.
