تهتم هذه الدراسة في الكشف عن ( علم المناسبة ) الذي اضطلع ببيان سر الترتيبات والروابط بين الآيات والسور القرآنية ضمن النظم المعجز ؛ وهو نوع من التفسير للسور القرآنية من حيث عمارتها اللغوية التي تنتظم أجزاءها ، ومدى إسهام العناصر اللفظية والفنية في عملية الربط ، وفي ضوء ذلك تناولت المؤلفة " زهراء خالد سعد الله العبيدي " - سورة البقرة - ثاني السور في الترتيب المصحفي ، لكونها أطول السور القرآنية وأكثرها تنوعاً في الموضوعات ، وأجمعها لأهداف القرآن ومقاصده ، إجمالاً وتفصيلاً ، مما اتسع بناؤها العضوي بأساليبه المختلفة للظفر بوجود عدة من التناسبات والروابط بين آياتها ، وهو الشيء الذي دفع المؤلفة لاختيار هذه السورة الكريمة . وتعبر عن ذلك بالقول : " مهمة هذا النمط من الأبحاث اللغوية هو عدم الإكتفاء بالجملة في التحليل اللغوي ، وإذا كانت هي نواة النص ، فهي ليست البنية الكبرى للتحليل اللغوي ، وبهذا المفهوم يتعدى التحليل بنية الجملة إلى بنية النص جميعاً ، كما أن لهذا الموضوع أهمية في الدراسات اللغوية المعاصرة التي أولت الخطاب القرآني اهتماماً كبيراً بوصفه رسالة لغوية ومعجزة تلائم سياق تنزّل السورة " .
بالإستناد إلى ما سبق انتظم الكتاب في ثلاثة فصول : تناول الفصل الأول : التناسب في الغايات والأهداف لسورة البقرة ، بينما تناول الفصل الثاني : التناسب الدلالي بين الآيات ووجوه التناسب ، وركز الفصل الثالث على : التناسب في النظم والظواهر السياقية في الخطاب ، وخاتمة : كشفت عن المراد من علل الترتيب والنظم داخل سورة البقرة ، وأظهرت اتساق القرآن في مظهريه الداخلي والخارجي .
