بالمقابل يبحث الكتاب عن أسباب تراجع الحضارة العربية - الإسلامية التي أنارت الدنيا لقرون ثم أَفَلت وأفل العرب معها وسبتوا وتأخروا وسبقتهم شعوب الأرض ولم يبق وراءهم الآن إلا إفريقيا فيما وراء الصحراء.
ثم يبحث هذا الكتاب عن طبيعة الحضارة الغربية الجديدة فيجدها وإن كانت راقية من حيث العلم والمعرفة، وهي تمثل العالم الأول، ولكنها حضارة بلا أخلاق بعلاقتها بدول العالم الثالث.
أخيراً يبحث هذا الكتاب عن الأسباب التي ستُعين الأمة العربية للنهوض من جديد واللحاق بالأمم المتقدمة فلم يجد إلا ضرورة التلاحم فيما بين العرب والإمساك بناصية العلم والمعرفة، ومن له القدرة على أن يمسك بناصية العلم والمعرفة؟...
إنه الإنسان، فالإنسان هو ثروة الأمم.
