الطريق إلى السعادة الحقيقية الأخروية التي هي: بقاء لا فناء له، وسرور لا غم فيه. ولا بد من الوقوف على بعض الحقائق للوصول إلى هذه الدرجة من السعادة: الحقيقة الأولى: الموت آت لكل نفس لا محالة. الحقيقة الثانية: إن المؤمن لا ينفعه إلا العمل الصالح الذي هو وحده يدخل معه القبر، وينجيه يوم الحساب، ويؤهله إلى دخول الجنة، والنجاة من النار، برحمة الله العزيز الغفار. الحقيقة الثالثة: إن السعادة الثالثة: إن السعادة ليست بكثرة المال ولا بالذهب والفضة، ولا بالخيل المسومة، ولا بالثرات من الأملاك والبيوت، وإنما بالعمل الصالح، والرزق الحلال، وغيره من أعمال الصلاح.
ومن أجل أن نحذر أن نكون من الذين أغواهم الشيطان، ومن أجل أن نحذر أن نكون من الذين ركنوا إلى الدنيا فضلوا الطريق. من أجل ذلك، ومن أجل ذلك كله، أراد المؤلف أن يبين في هذا الكتاب بعض الطاعات التي لها الأثر الفعال والسريع في تكفير الذنوب ومحو السيئات، وجعل صفحة المسلم بيضاء ناصعة خالية من الذنوب والآثام، تؤهله إلى يوم الحساب، وهو مطمئن القلب إلى مغفرة الله تعالى ورحمته، ورضوانه، وكرمه، وعفوه، والنظر إليه، والجلوس في ظله.
ألا نرضى السعادة الحقيقية الأبدية إن كنا من أهلها، لأن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عندما سأله عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه: يا رسول الله أرأيت ما نعمل فيه أمر مبتدع أو مبتدأ أو فيما قد فرغ منه؟
فقال: "فيما قد فرغ منه يا ابن الخطاب وكل ميسر: أما من كان من أهل السعادة فإنه يعمل للسعادة، وأما من كان من أهل الشقاء فإنه يعمل للشقاء" باليسير من القول والجهد والعمل الصالح؟!! وهو ما سيبينه متن هذا الكتاب، وقد أوجزناه وأجمعناه ونجمله في هذه الأسطر.
