الكاتب في هذا الكتاب لن يعترض بتفصيل حياته القضائية، ولن يتناول كل ما شهده في حياته القضائية من مشاكل تثور في أروقة الهيئة القضائية التي ينتمي إليها، ولن يتناول علاقته بالزملاء والمحامين، ولن يتعرض لكل الصعوبات التي واجهها في عمله، إلى آخر هذه التفاصيل غير المجدية، إن الكاتب في هذا الكتاب يتخذ فقط من عمله القضائي منطلقًا للكلام عن قضايا عامة تهم القضاء والناس والوطن، إن عمله سيكون مرتكزًا فقط لطرح قضايا عامة وجسرًا للعبور عليه من الخاص إلى العام، إذن ينطلق الكاتب في كتابه هذا من المجال الذي قضى فيه معظم عمره وهو عمله، ينطلق منه وهو يدرك تمام الإدراك أن القضاء الذي انتمى إليه ليس جزيرة معزولة وإنما هو جزء من كل هو المجتمع وما يصيب القضاء ولا يمكن أن يبرأ منها القضاء ما لم يبرأ منها المجتمع، إن الكاتب في عمله يتعامل مع شريحة من الناس هم المتقاضون وذلك من خلال المنصة العالية التي يجلس عليها، ومن خلال ملفات قضاياهم، ويرى أن القضايا التي يطرحونها عليه ويقول كلمته فيها هي مرآة حقيقية تعكس صورة المجتمع الذي يعيش فيه، إن الكاتب من خلال هذه القضايا يمد بصره إلى مشاكل البلد ككل ثم يعيد النظر إلى مشاكل القضاء والمتقاضين من خلالها، انه بهذه النظرة يبحث عن الأسباب الحقيقية لهذا الكم الهائل من القضايا المطروحة على المحاكم.
ويتضمن الكتاب أربعة فصول، الفصل الأول: يتكلم عن أحوال القضاء والناس والوطن، والفصل الثاني: احكام ثلاثة محفورة في الذاكرة، الفصل الثالث: مناسبا.. وكلمات، الفصل الرابع: آراء في الكاتب وفيما كتب.
