في هذا الكتاب يقدم الدكتور علي صالح علي مصطفى دراسة نقدية تهدف إلى تقويم طعون المعاصرين في أحاديث " الصحيحين " بدعوى مخالفة القرآن ، ويفعل ذلك المؤلف بإخضاع نتائج دراساتهم لقواعد البحث العلمي ، وأصول النقد الحديثي ، ليتبين مدى صحة دعواهم أن أكثر أحاديث الصحيحين تتعارض مع آيات القرآن تعارضاً يوجب الحكم بأنها موضوعة على لسان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ، وأن علماء المسلمين غفلوا عن ذلك لما تلقوا أحاديثهما بالقبول أكثر من عشرة قرون .
وبعد دراسة المؤلف طعونهم في أحاديث " الصحيحين " الخاصة بأسباب النزول والتفسير النبوي للقرآن - تبين أن الدعوى تناقض أحاديث الصحيحين مع القرآن ، لا تصح ، وأن الطاغين أخطؤوا في ادعاء التناقض بين القرآن وأحاديث الصحيحين ؛ وأنهم عجزوا عن الفهم الصحيح للآيات ، أو الأحاديث التي طعنوا بها ، أو أنهم لم يفهموا الآيات والأحاديث معاً ؛ نتيجة مخالفتهم قواعد البحث العلمي في دراساتهم ، وعدم تأهل أكثرهم البحث في علوم الحديث ، وقلة معرفتهم بأبجديات نقد المتن ؛ فوقعوا في التناقض ، ومخالفة القرآن والسّنة والإجماع ، واللغة والعقل .
