Book Description
شرع الجهاد في الإسلام للدفاع عن النفس، وحماية الدعوة، وكفالة الحرية الدينية لشعوب الأرض، ولم يكن يومًا لإكراه الناس على اعتناق الدين الإسلامي، بل جاء لحماية المستضعفين في الأرض من سيطرة الأقوياء الظالمين، وحماية المضطهدين أيضًا من اتباع الديانات التوحيدية، والمحافظة على بيوت عباداتهم من كنائس وصوامع وبيع من أن يحل بها الهدم والتخريب.
ويفرق البحث بين الجهاد والإرهاب، فالإرهاب هو ترويع الآمنين، والعدوان عليهم باغتصاب ديارهم وإزهاق أرواحهم، وخطف الطائرات، مما يرفضه صحيح الإسلام ويدينه أما الجهاد الحق فإنه جهاد إنساني، ينافي الإرهاب والعنف غير المشروع، لأنه شرع في الأصل لدفع العدوان، والمحافظة على أرواح الأبرياء، وتوكيد قيم الحق والعدل والخير والسلام.
ويفند البحث الزعم الكاذب بانتشار الإسلام بالقوة والسيف، وأنه دين يدعو إلى الحرب والعنف، موضحًا بالتاريخ والواقع، وأن انتشاره السريع العاصف كان بالطرق السلمية، لا بالسيف والإكراه، إذ تعد حرية العقيدة في الإسلام أصلًا من أصوله الهامة.
