إن هذا الكتاب إسهام متواضع فى بناء نظرية وحدوية علمية ديمقراطية جديدة ، لأنه يجيب عن السؤال المسكوت عنه وهو لماذا لم تنتقل الأمة العربية من التجزئة إلى الوحدة؟ وبتواضع يمكن أن يكون هذا الكتاب مدخلا للعمل الوحدوى المستقبلي لأنه استخدام المنهج النقدى التاريخى ليس لغرض معرفة المعوقات والسلبيات العربى الوحدوى المنشود ، لأنه المجتمع العربى ليس أول مجتمع يعيش التجزئة فهو لا زال ( فى الظروف القهرية وبعد محاولات داخلية وخارجية استهدفت تطلعاته وأحلامه) يتوق للخروج من تجزئته فى إيجاد دولة واحدة ديمقراطية . وبقدر ما يعالج هذا الكتاب جوانب الواقع العربى من زاوية وحدوية والدعوة إلى قيام الوحدة وإيضاح ضرورتها ، فإنها تبين أهم المشكلات التى واجهت العالم العربى فى سياق الإجابة عن الأسئلة الاتية : - ما هى الأسباب التى أدت إلى فشل عمليات التوحد السياسي فى النظام العربي الرسمي؟ - لماذا فشلت تعمليات التوحد بين حزب البعث والحركات القومية ومنها الحركة الناصرية، من جهة وبين حزبى البعث فى سوريا والعراق من جهة أخرى؟ - هل حققت الولايات المتحدة أهدافها الاستراتيجية فى الوطن العربى بعد أن وضعت نفسها فى المنطقة ( منذ نهاية الحرب العالمية الثانية وحتى بعد حرب الخليج الثالثة 2003 ) ، أنها الحامى والمدافع عن حدود سايكس بيكو.
