«تخيّل لو كنت تعيش وحيداً على هذه الأرض. تخيّل ذلك وستكتشف أنّه لن تكون لك حكاية تروى ولا أثر يقتفى، لن تعرف الحنين ولن تمتلك ذاكرة. هو الآخر من يصنع لنا ظلالاً، وينفخ في أرواحنا الرغبة في الرقص. هو أيضاً من يعلّمنا الحزن، ثم يتحول من جرح إلى حكمة. الآخر، الذي يجمعنا به القدر، حين يكون على أهبة كتابة قصة».
