تتغلغل معانيه في الوجد لتطلق ساقي الخيال للريح ميمماً شطر صحراء سحرت شاعراً، فألبسته مداها، رمالها، قبائلها، خيامها، وروعة أصيلها، وانشقاق فجرها وصباحاتها رؤى ما برحت تحفر بعيداً في عباراته، فتنساب قصائد، موسيقاها صفير الرياح حيناً، وهمس صباحات صحرائه أحياناً، تبوح حروفها بنبض الحب، وبوجع الحنين، وبألم البعد عن تلك التي سكنت في مساحات القلب والوجدان. تلك القصائد لم تكن في ترجمتها الإنكليزية أقل روعة في نصها الأساسي العربي. فهي إلى جانب إبرازها للإبداع العربي، فقد أعطت قارئ اللغة الإنكليزية مجالاً للدخول في عالم الصحراء لاكتشاف أسراره التي تبقى كالأساطير.
