قد يكون هذا الشرح في قمة شروح القصائد السبع، فإن هذا الإسهاب الذي جرى عليه ابن الأنباري في تفسيره لها أتاح لنا الفرصة ان نطلع على واسع علمه وصادق نظرة وحسن فهمه، وأنه لا يكاد يرى ثغرة في طريق الكمال إلا حاول سدها، فعالج النصوص من زوايا اللغة والنحو والتاريخ والأنساب معالجة كاملة، كما عقد المقارنات الأدبية التى اقتضته إيراد كثير من الشواهد النادرة التى لا تجدها في غير هذا الكتاب، وبين كثيرا من الصلات اللغوية والفنية بينها وبين القرآن الكريم والحديث النبوي. هذا كله مع التوثيق الكامل والاسناد الظاهرة.
وقد ألحقت بهذا الشرح فهارس فنية جريت في بعضها على نمط مستحدث وهو فهرس القرآن الكريم والحديث، وإذ جعلت ترتيبها على المواد اللغوية التى يمثلها الاستشهاد.
ووجدت أن من الضروري إلحاق فهرس لغوي لما فسره ابن الأنباري وكذا فهرس مسائل العربية.
