قديماً كنت أطالع الأساطير وأضعها في كفة عقلي مع الخرافات فلم تكن - بالنسبة لي - أكثر من خرافة، يتلقاها العقل على سبيل التسلية لمعرفة فكر الأولين، حتى طالعت ملحمة "جلجامش" ووجدت بها أخبار الطوفان، تلك الأخبار لتي ذكرتها النصوص التوراتية ونصوص القرآن الكريم، ومنذ ذلك العهد بدأت أنظر للأسطورة نظرة أخرى عن سابقتها، ازداد شغفي بعد ذلك بدراسة الأساطير، ووجدت فيما يخص خلق الكون أن هناك تقارباً بين النصوص الأسطورية الفرعونية والسومرية والبابلية والسورية، ووجدت تقارباً آخر بين هذه النصوص من جهة، وبين نصوص الكتب السماوية - التوراة والقرآن - من جهة أخرى، فكان هذا الكتاب الذي بين يدي القارئ.
ستجد في هذا الكتاب عرضاً لأساطير خلق الكون في الحضارة المصرية القديمة، وفي حضارتي سومر وبابل، وأخيراً في الحضارة السورية، وبهذا ننتهي من عرض قصة الخلق في النصوص الأسطورية، والتي تستغرق الفصول الأربعة الأولى، بعد ذلك نعرض لنصوص الخلق التوراتية كما جاءت في سفر التكوين، ثم نعرض لنظرية الخلق كما جاءت بها النصوص القرآنية، وذلك في الفصلين الخامس والسادس، أما الفصل السابع والأخير فهو فصل ختامي يحمل نفس عنوان الكتاب "خلق الكون بين إلحاد الأسطورة وتوحيد الدين السماوي" وعرضنا فيه لأوجه الشبه بين ما جاءت به النصوص الأسطورية وما جاءت به النصوص السماوية، ثم عرضنا لنظرية داروين في النشوء والتطور، تلك النظرية التي خالفت - وبشدة - النصوص السماوية ثم قمنا بالرد عليها، وبعد ذلك عرضت لأقوال من اطلقوا على أنفسهم "المجددون" والذين حاولوا إخضاع النص السماوي لوهم العلم وإلحاد الأسطورة، وقمت بالرد على أقوالهم الواحد تلو الآخر، وفي النهاية عرضت سبب التقارب والتشابه بين النص الأسطوري والنص السماوي وهو ما يمكن أن نسميه بالدورة العقائدية، وفي النهاية أتمنى أن أكون قد قدمت للقارئ العزيز مادة جديدة، تثري فكره وتجلي له ما قد يغمض عليه.
