حيث يستشعر المؤلّف جلياً الأخطار المحدقة بالعرب، إذ أثبتت التجارب أن الولايات المتحدة ليست حليفاً دائماً يمكن الركون إليه، وليس مستبعداً أن تقلب إيران موازين اللعبة السياسية إن هي تخلّت عن برنامجها النووي، أو انخرط سياسيوها (ليس بالضرورة في عهد نجاد) في اتفاقيات مع الولايات المتحدة وتخلّوا عن استخدام ورقة «مضيق هرمز» الضاغطة. فالولايات المتحدة تبحث عن ذراع قوية في المنطقة تخدم مصالحها، وبالطبع ستكون إيران في الوضع المتهيئ لذلك، إن ركبت طائرة المصالح الأميركية المتّجهة إلى واشنطن. عندها فحسب يصبح العرب في وضع لا يُحسدون عليه. فهل تتخلى الولايات المتحدة عن حلفائها؟
كما يتحدّث المؤلف في مجمل مقالاته تفصيلياً عن علاقات إيران الدولية في ظل النظام القائم. وتطغى التوترات على علاقاتها مع أميركا والدول الغربية عموماً وكذلك السعودية ومصر والإمارات والأردن واليمن. ويعود التوتّر بينها وبين دول الخليج إلى أطماعها في هذه الأخيرة ونيّتها في التوسّع على حسابها. إضافة إلى قضية الجزر الإماراتية الثلاث، والاختلاف المذهبي.
وقد تضمنت مقدّمة الكتاب تعريفاً جغرافيا وتاريخياً بإيران، حيث أن إيران تأتي في المرتبة الـ18 في قائمة الدول الأكبر مساحة في العالم، كما أن عدد سكانها يربو على 70 مليون نسمة.
