يأتي تحقيق كتب النّحو العربيّ، في طليعة كتب التّراث التي يجب تحقيقها ودراستها؛ لأنّه يعصم اللّسان من الزَّلل، ولأنَّه الميزان الذي بوساطته يُعرف مَنْ أصاب في القول ومَنْ لَحن، ولأنّه العلم الذي تُوجَّه في ضوئه القراءات القرآنيّة المشهورة وغير المشهورة، والمتواترة منها والشّاذَة.
وتاريخ النّحو العربي غنيّ بأسماء العلماء والنّحاة، وبأسماء المصنّفات التي صنّفوها في هذا المجال، وابن هشام الأنصاريّ - وإن كان متأخِّراً - فقد كان لمصنّفاته النَّحوية منزلة كبيرة لدى العلماء والدّارسين والمدرّسين وطلاب العلم قديماً وحديثاً؛ لما تتّصف به تلك المصنّفات من منهجيّة واضحية بالقياس إلى غيرها من كتب النّحو الأخرى.
وكتاب "شرح شذور الذّهب" مصدر نحويّ، لاقى القبول والإعجاب من قبل الدّارسين والمتخصِّصين على السّواء، وعنونّه "محطات رحلة السّرور إلى شرح شواهد الشُّذور"، هذا وقد جاء الكتاب في ثلاثة أَقسام على النَّحو التَّالي: القسم الأوَّل - قسم التَّمهيد، ويشتمل على: تعريف موجز بإبن هشام الأنصاريّ - نهج ابن هشام النّحويّ - عملنا في الكتاب، القسم الثّاني - كتاب شرح شذور الذَّهب مُذيّلاً بـ محطّات رحلة السّرور إلى شرح شواهد الشذور، القسم الثالث - قسم المسارد الفنّية.
